My thoughts on Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

by bekasummer

Hi lovelies!  today I want to share with you my thoughts on cleansers, what I love and my latest discovery.

When it comes down to removing make up, I’ve been loyal to my Clinique cleanser for quiet some time now and I never thought I would find something that could replace it, Until I tried the Garner Micellar cleansing water, I got the chance to try two presentations. Both are cleansing waters all-in-one except the one with the blue cap is waterproof makeup remover.

I decided to give them a try and see if they could possibly change my mind because I’ve had bad experiences in the past with similar products since they always ended up irritating my eyes and I always thought it was time consuming and painful. But little did I knew, I have now found something even better than my so loved Clinique cleanser. Both of these cleansers are for all skin types and aim to do the same with the exception of one (blue cap) removing waterproof makeup and the other does not. I tried first the waterproof makeup remover one since I noticed the consistency look a little different so I thought it would most likely be not as harsh to my skin, since my skin is extremely sensitive and most products break my skin.

I found it to be AMAZING I applied a generous amount of product on a cotton pad and then started removing my eye makeup since to me thats the  test, if it removes my mascara and eyeliner completely then I give it truly a chance. My first impression was that the consistency did felt a little oil-like but with a twist because it was super hydrating to my skin and not greasy so it was removing my makeup, cleaning and also hydrating at the same time, it didn’t irritate my eyes at all which is FANTASTIC , it did pass the test of removing my eye makeup so I continue to remove the rest of the makeup. As soon as I was done I noticed that after removing my makeup my skin felt super clean smooth, hydrated, it completely changed the way I felt about my Neutrogena cleanser. I was very surprised since I was not expecting to love this micellar cleansing water as much as I do now, the next day after using it my face kept feeling fab honestly even better than it does usually since it felt silk-like, super smooth and hydrated. It didn’t break my skin which is brilliant and this is now my go to now.

The pink cap micellar water All-in one, that one I didn’t dislike but it didn’t blew me away, I guess it had a lot to do with the fact that I tried the waterproof makeup remover one first and I just fell in love with it. Don’t get me wrong I would say its a good one too but it’s more for days when you don’t use makeup and just want to clean your face at night or you use just a little bit of makeup, since its more water-like and also it won’t remove mascara as easy as the other one. But still is a good option if you want something more water base and consistency. It’s refreshing too and I didn’t had any reactions on my skin so thats great too.
